About Us

Formed in 2007, CRhalo was the original Halo PC group devoted to the cops and robbers gametype. Based on personal servers made by a few of its members, it was a small group that built a site in order to keep in touch. The gameplay revolved around the concept of capturing not a flag, but the players themselves, and the two sides were divided into cops and robbers. As the site was built the games inspired a story, which many of the members began writing. By 2008 the story was the focus and the server events were meant to build on the story. During that year CRhalo also tried expanding, and other gametypes, including the popular tournaments and Cops vs. Robbers games were developed. As part of the expansion, a deal for a dedicated server was struck, though the owners eventually formed their own group, the [CnR] Clan.
The rest, as they say, is history...

The Cops will do just about anything to win, but we don't like killing our enemies. If possible, we like to capture those darn robbers and humiliate them by locking them away. Then all they can do is think about what they did. They often beg to be let loose and have their teammates risk their lives trying to break them out, and you'd be amazed at the funny stuff they try. However, they all end up back in jail.

In the same respect, your team will never let you down. No matter what you're up against, you know you'll have a fellow officer at your shoulder, watching your back and working with you to ensure the streets are safe from the robbers. Despite the extraordinary lengths the robbers will go to destroy us, we can always defeat them, despite their use of vehicles and heavy weapons.

However, who doesn't like watching red body parts go flying? That's why we also embrace the skillful implementation of such weapons. If you run into trouble, you can feel safe knowing we'll get rid of those pesky hogs and ghosts before they can even think about attacking you.

Remember, no matter your skill level or specialty, you'll be welcome in the Cop's team. We love to see both experienced and inexperienced players, but if you happen to be experienced, there is one suggestion: create a squad! This can also be a good idea for players who know how to set up a good battle plan. You can have officers that will follow in your footsteps and become great like you. Because remember, the better we get, the better we will be able to defeat the robbers.

CR Halo Server Rules

For those who have been wondering... What is different between CR halo and CnR?
What sets us apart from the clan is how we play the game actually. It may seem similar but in fact it is completely different than how the clan actually plays.

Now I shall compare the rules between CR and CnR and tell you how they are different.

CnR

Goals:

1. To capture all the Cops or Robbers ALIVE by making them surrender their will to fight.
2. To work together to reach the 1st goal and complete the task.
3. To help teach and interact with those players who do not know Cops and Robbers.

Rules:
1. No crouch killing – Do not kill someone when they are crouched
2. No scoring –The Flag is modded and is not able to be picked up.
3. Do not Fake crouch –Do not shoot when crouched.
4. Do not Use Offensive Language, Inappropriate Language or Cursing/Cussing that is directed towards another player – Do not use bad words.
5. Do not jail kill – Do not kill people in or around the jail.
6.Do not guard kill – Do not kill guards in or around the jail.
7. Do not Spawn kill – Give people a 3 second head start before initiating combat.
8. No arguing – Do not argue on the servers. Have fun!10. No yelling (using caps)
9. No disrespecting Admins- Do not disrespect Admins-
If an admin kicks someone and they come back and carry on the admin may ban them.
10. Absolutely NO Botting or using any type of hacks to better your game.

CR Halo

First off there are NO goals because our intentions are to fully let players play and hang around, not to go put two opposing teams score and expect to win something.

1) There will be no scoring since the game should never end until the majority of players are done playing.

2) No randomly killing- We intend to keep this game type a relaxing hang out unless we choose to play in a different way depending on the majority of players. This also basically covers the no spawn killing, no crouch killing, no guard killing FROM jail, and no arguing since randomly killing causes arguments, and hacks or bots are completely useless.

3) Cursing is ALLOWED only if it is not intended to insult other players. We try to make it free as possible without making any players angry. (also covers no disrespecting admins)

4) Fake crouching is also not allowed since it creates poor sportsmanship.

5) Most important rule... Role Play.

Now this is the part where CnR asks, "Role Play? How are we able to role play in halo?"
No offense but this is what CnR actually lacks... Creativity and Imagination. So far most of you seem to know only to shoot the opposing team and do not kill the crouching players... That is not how the real Cops and Robbers played back then.

How you role play in Cops and Robbers is completely easy. You pretty much play pretend. How? Its cops and robbers! Be a cop! Be a Robber!
There are many examples of how you role play as your faction...

Cops you can go...
-Accuse a robber of something and take them to jail for that reason.
-Create a road block and use an excuse to keep it up.
-Start a car chase.
-Do some investigation.
-Go be a civilian while you are off duty.

Robbers you are able to...
-Say you robbed a bank.
-Kidnap someone for ransom.
-Be in a car chase.
-Kill someone for a reason and then become wanted.
-Go role play doing some drug deals. (we used to use Needlers as drugs...)
-Start some sort of riot that the cops cannot refuse to take action and role play that scene.
-Be one of the few civilians who currently do not have any criminal intentions until some cop goes and ticks you off.
-Attack a roadblock that the cops set up with a motive.

All of these are used by your CHARACTER.
-By character we mean like the ones how game or show developers make. The characters that have backgrounds, stories, personalities and skills. Not the real you the Cops and Robbers ideal selves. Please do not go and pose as some existing popular character you have to be original that way people can remember and know who you are instantly. This is what sets CR and CnR apart! We do not go guns blazing until someone goes and squats like they are taking a dump. We go and create a story or scene that we can interact with or be a part of. Not to mention that Cops and Robbers have their own universe, we are only just USING Halo as our base. So we are not going by Halos story or any of its sorts. Like we said, original.

Another activity we do that CnR does not is actually using the role play and turning it into a story. It is a project that we, CR, have been doing ever since we started writing. Mainly creating a comic series that will eventually be based on THESE role play experiences.

If you do not like how it is played then that is fine, but this is how Cops and Robbers actually played. Note that CR is only for the creative members NOT the ones that know only to point and shoot at dummies.

All members are expected to know the rules frontwards and backwards. Therefor, if you are caught breaking a rule, you will be kicked without any warning. We expect our members to know the rules better than anyone else in our servers.

If you have been kicked previously, the next time you break a rule, you will be time banned, depending on the severity of your action. Only on rare instances does any admin perm. ban. Most bans last one day or three; the longest time bans last a week.

Server Admin Information

Firstly you must be a CnR member before becoming an admin. NO member of this site can be admins

The reason for this page's existence is so members and admins alike can learn what is expected from an admin in situations. This page will be broken down to three pieces. What is needed, what is expected, and what to do.

Expectations:

All admins need Xfire. Above all else, this is the most important program that admins should have. When you are on Halo admining, it is wise to be on xfire.

Also, you need to have Sight Jacker. This allows an admin to find people who are rock glitching, or botting. A few admins don't have Sight Jacker due to their anti-virus programs produce a false-positive when they try to use it. Talk to Draco on how to get around your anti-virus to stop moving it to the vault. His xfire is on his profile HERE.

& lastly:

Besides the obvious attitude requirements (calm, focused, etc.) admins need to quick witted. You need to stay neutral in arguments. Don't be part of the problem, be the solution. If you can't stop the argument, remind the parties that you are in charge with a kick. If they continue after a kick, ban for a few hours.

What are the requirements?

All server admins are expected to have a clean file, and at least two months of member site activity. All server admins are to display top quality in the servers, and they need to have an active Halo life.

Do all admins get remote access to the servers?

Remote access for phasor is N/A at this time.

What programs do I need if I become a server admin?

You are supposed to have Sight-Jacker & Xfire. You may get Teamspeak if you like.

Do I have a test I have to pass?

Yes, you will need to pass our test to be considered for server admin.

If I pass the test, does that mean I am a admin?

Yes, of course.

How to be active in the [CnR] World

There are plenty of things you can do to stay active.
Here's what WE, the leaders, are looking for when we look at you.

What we want out of you, is activity!

We want you to be in the servers playing and explaining the rules,
and on the site, asking and answering questions.

Ask questions!

We want members who are not afraid to say, "Hey, could you tell me what's going on?"
If you are confused about ANYTHING, just say so and we will do our best to help you out!

Answer questions!

If you know what you're doing, help the newer members that don't!

Stay active in the servers!

Join the servers and stay on for a bit. Talk awhile in the servers and follow the rules!
Do what you want and have fun, in the end, that's what its all about.

Don't be a jerk!

If there is someone in the server who doesn't know the rules, help them by telling them to visit www.cnrclan.info
You can also tell them the basics so that everyone can enjoy a good game as soon as possible.

First, create a Wetpaint account for this website. This account will allow you to be registered with us, and allow you to interact with the clan.
Click the button below to join the site, if you haven't already.

After you've created an account, you are apart of this website NOT [CnR]. You may now apply for CnR by clicking CnR TEST on the side bar.
Note: Having an account on this site does NOT make you a member of the clan. You may NOT put [CñR] in front of your name, If you use [CñR], you will be
banned for impersonating a clan member.

On this site, you will find requirements and rules as well as explanations on how this clan works.

You need to stay active if you wish to be invited to join the clan. If you stay active, posting USEFUL info to threads (no spam please), showing up at server activities, and generally making yourself known, you will likely get an invite before long.

As a member on this site, the [CnR] Leaders expect you to follow all the [CnR] Rules!
If you are caught breaking the rules on a server, you may get banned with less warning than other players, as you are representing the clan.

You must stay active, both on this website and the servers, in order to be recruited to the clan. If you are not active, you will not be admitted to our ranks.
So how does one stay active? Check out the How to be Active in the [CnR] World page for the answers.

After joining, you have rights and responsibilities with the clan. All of these are outlined in the [CnR]Constitution.
If you ever believe that your rights have been trampled on under the constitution, please contact the leaders by filing a report.

When you become a [CnR] member, a file is created for you. This file sticks with you forever!
This means, if you break the rules or disrespect any other [CnR] members or leaders, it will go on your file.
If you have a lot of black marks on your file, you could possibly be denied Admin Powers or get banished from the clan.

To become a [CnR] Server Admin, you will have to be apart of the [CnR] Clan for 4 months, with a clean record for the 3 consecutive prior months.

That means the private site; your time as on this site doesn't count towards that 4 months.
Please do not repeatedly ask if you can become a Server Admin! Don't call us, we'll call you (sort of).
When you have been in the clan for the required months, you may then start asking.

Keep in mind, however, that we won't just give you admin powers: you have to earn it. You must pass the Server Admin Test and be decently active on Halo.

6. NO Vehicles of any kind in jail. This only leads to problems, such as players getting pushed under the map and having to re spawn themselves.
7. Do not commit suicide while a prisoner. This defeats the purpose of the game.
8. Do not be trigger happy- Give the people you shoot the ability to crouch and surrender.
9. Do not Spawn kill – Give people a 3 second head start before initiating combat.
10. No arguing – Do not argue on the servers. Have fun!

11. No yelling (using caps excessively)
12. No disrespecting Admins- treat them with almost as much respect as a police officer; they are the police of the servers
13. Absolutely NO Botting or using any type of hacks to better your game. Doing so could result in getting banned.
What is a surrender? It is a player who crouches to the ground, which indicates that they have given up their ability to fight and are essentially “arrested”. Doing this means that they player knows he has been captured and must be escorted to the other teams jail, which is located under the flag.

You must remained crouched all the way there unless given permission otherwise. However, standing to type in the chat box is generally allowed, just don't abuse this right; only type if you need to.
You must be escorted the entire way by any member of the opposing team. If there is no one around to escort you, you are free to escape. If you escape, you may fight again.
You are not allowed to take a detour just to be able to pick up weapons, health, or over shields; you must go directly to jail.
Once in jail, you cannot “jailbreak”, you must wait for a member from your team to come and RESCUE you, meaning you cant leave unless you have a clear way of escape. This also includes jail suicide; you cannot kill yourself to get out of jail. However, if the jail is left unguarded, you may attempt to sneak away. If a member of the other team sees you before you are away, you must surrender.

You cannot kill a guard unless you are helping your rescuer, and guards cannot kill their prisoners while they are captured. This game mode is well known but we still have more and more new people come in everyday, your easily going to get annoyed by the players who do not follow these well known rules. If someone doesn't know the rules or starts breaking rules, don't yell at an admin to ban them. If there is an admin, politely tell them so they can handle it. If there is no admin, then ask the player if they know the CnR rules. If they do not, get them to type "/rules" so that they can read them. If they need to read more than what is in the server script, tell them to go to www.cnrclan.net (this site) to read the rules on this page.

All other rules and expectations are at the discretion of the admin of the server based on different situations. Which include: Tele-porter blocking.
Inappropriate language (not cuss words but words like gay,***,nig***, and so forth). Some admins will allow words that others won't. Respect the decisions of the current admin.

Kickable offenses:

Killing a guard when captured/killing a captured prisoner.
Cussing (abbreviations included if they are directed towards another player).
Crouch killing.
Fake crouching.
Spamming the server.
GLITCHING.
Not listening to the admin.
Anything else at the discretion of the server admin.

Bannable offenses:
Insulting the server.
Insulting an Admin.
Insulting the clan.
GLITCHING.
Impersonating an Admin or another CnR Member.
Botting/Hacking.
Anything else at the discretion of the server admin.

Moderators (The Leaders' Assistants)

Moderators work directly under the Board of Directors (BoD) in terms of leading the [CñR] clan. They are essentially super powered members of the clan site that are given more responsibility based on their outstanding work for the clan. Each Moderator answers to a specific Board Member and his/her duties are related to those of the Board Member. A Moderator's position depends on how well he/she serves under his/her Board Member - if the Moderator is unable to meet the standards set by the Board member, he/she is liable to lose his/her position as Moderator.
*Special Moderators have Moderator privileges, but are not given the same Clan Leader privileges as other moderators as part of their Moderator status.

The [CnR] Constitution
This document establishes the powers and limits of the clan’s leaders, and how members may respond to them

Article I
Clan Leader

Section 1
The Clan Leader is the Leader of the [CnR] clan and shall have Creator status on the clan website (or whatever the highest permission level there is on any clan website). The Clan Leader has the authority to make any decision related to the security of the game servers or websites controlled by the clan, and has the final say on the membership status of any current, former, or future clan member.

Section 2
The Clan Leader may select administrators, collectively known as the Board of Directors to help him run the clan and perform specific tasks for the clan. These selected members must then be approved by a majority of the sitting Board of Directors. The Clan Leader may also at his discretion remove any Board Member, Moderator, or Server Administrator from power, or ban members of the clan from servers or sites, at any time and for any legitimate reason. The decision may be challenged within the week it occurred, otherwise it will be final. If challenged, a simple majority vote of the Board of Directors can decide if the removal was justified, and if it is considered unjustified, it will be reversed. The Clan Leader may also shift the members of the Board into other equivalent roles as he sees fit. The Clan Leader has the final say on leadership ranks within the clan and any decisions made by other leaders in the clan (unless he is overruled, see Article II Section 1).

Section 3
The Clan Leader may be removed from office in the event he is inactive or otherwise incapacitated for a month without explaining his absence. The Board may remove the Clan Leader from office if he is found guilty of wrongdoing or major violations of clan rules, in which case a majority of all Moderators and Board members must decide that he should be removed. In the event that a majority of clan members decides that it no longer supports the Clan Leader, the Clan Leader will be required to step down.

Section 4
The Clan Leader must select a Board member to be his Co-Leader. The Co-Leader shall be acting Clan Leader in the event the Clan Leader is unable to perform his duties or in the event the Clan Leader is absent. The powers of Clan Leader return to the Clan Leader immediately upon his return. In the event that the Clan Leader fails to return within one month of his absence (or does not return from a longer absence that he previously announced), the Co-Leader shall become the new Clan Leader. If the former Clan Leader returns after this point, he shall be considered a normal member with no claim to the role of Clan Leader. In the event the Clan Leader is removed from office due to lack of popular support or wrongdoing, the Co-Leader shall become the new Clan Leader.

Section 5
The Clan Leader has the sole authority to appoint his successor, unless he is removed from office and the Co-Leader assumes his role. The appointed successor must be given the highest status possible on the website and the former Clan Leader must then officially step down. Once power is transferred, the former Clan Leader renounces all claims to the title and becomes a normal clan member.

Article II
Board of Directors

Section 1
The Board of Directors advises the Clan Leader and perform specific tasks on his behalf. They have absolute authority in whatever area they are placed in charge of, though they may be overruled by the Clan Leader or a majority of Board members. Through a majority vote, the Board members have the authority to make decisions concerning the clan or its members, servers, and websites as if they were the Clan Leader, though the Clan Leader may nullify those decisions. In order to overrule the Clan Leader, the Board must be unanimous, or must have the full support of the Moderators and a majority vote.

Section 2
Board members must select a member to be their Moderator. These selected members must then be approved by a majority of sitting Board members. Moderators are the lieutenants of their Board member; as a result, each Board member is only permitted one Moderator. If a Moderator is removed for whatever reason, the Board member who lacks the Moderator may have two weeks to select a new one. After two weeks any Board member may select a Moderator to be approved by the Board.

Section 3
Board members may grant limited moderator powers to normal members in order to help assist them with specific tasks requiring more site permissions, but these members are not considered Moderators and may not execute any of the actions in Article III. When the tasks are completed, the moderator powers must be removed from the members granted them by the Board member. A simple majority vote of the Board or the Clan Leader’s decision can remove the specially granted moderator rank from the members that were given it.

Section 4
A majority of the Board and a majority of Moderators may ask the clan to vote on whether they wish to keep their current leaders in place at any time, though they may only do this at most every two weeks. When this occurs, the clan will vote for or against maintaining each individual leader, and any leader that receives less than a majority of votes cast will be removed from power within 24 hours of the end of the voting. Voting must continue long enough that every clan member had a reasonable chance to participate. This power must be exercised at least once every 2 months.

Section 5
To be eligible for a position as a Board member, clan members must have been a member of the clan for 6 months, have current Server Administrator rank, and prior experience as a Moderator. The member’s record in the clan must be considered clean for the previous 6 months. A Board member may be removed by a majority vote of the Board or by the Clan Leader (unless the Board overrules him, see Article I Section 2) in the event he is inactive or otherwise incapacitated for a month without explaining his absence; or if he is found guilty of wrongdoing or major violations of clan rules, in which case a majority of all Moderators and Board members must decide if he should be removed from power. In the event that a majority of clan members decides that it no longer supports a Board member, that Board member will be required to step down.

Article III
Moderators

Section 1
Moderators advise the Board and perform specific tasks on their behalf. They enforce the decisions made by the Board member they advise (unless that Board member is overruled, see Article II Section 1). Moderators are trusted with maintaining basic order in the sites and servers of the clan, and may police members or edit the sites as needed. Through a majority vote Moderators may make temporary decisions concerning the clan or its members, servers, and websites as if they were Board members, but those decisions must be approved by a majority of the Board. If the Board takes no action within one week, the decisions will be considered approved. Each individual Moderator shall be acting Board member in the event the Board member he serves is unable to perform his duties or in the event the Board member is absent. The powers of Board member return to the Board member immediately upon his return.

Section 2
In the event a Board member cannot participate in a Board vote, his Moderator may cast a proxy vote on his behalf. If the Board member does not direct the Moderator to vote a certain way, the Moderator may vote as he chooses. The Board member may only change the proxy vote until the vote is officially closed, after which point the proxy vote is considered binding. Moderators are included in Board votes if the topic is removing a leader for wrongdoing, overruling the Clan Leader, or voting to allow the clan to vote on keeping its leaders (see Article I Section 3, Article II Section 1, and Article II Section 2).

Section 3
To be eligible for a position as a Moderator, clan members must have been a member of the clan for 3 months and have current Server Administrator rank. The member’s record in the clan must be considered clean for the previous 3 months. A Moderator may be removed by the Board member he advises or the Clan Leader at any time and for any legitimate reason (unless the other Board members overrule the Board member or the Clan Leader, see Article I Section 2); or in the event he is inactive or otherwise incapacitated for a month without explaining his absence; or if he is found guilty of wrongdoing or major violations of clan rules, in which case a majority of all Moderators and Board members must decide if he should be removed from power. In the event a majority of clan members decides that it no longer supports a Moderator, that Moderator will be required to step down.

Section 4
The clan will elect one Clan Representative who shall participates in all leader discussions and have a vote in Moderator decisions. To be eligible for Clan Representative, clan members must have been a member of the clan for 3 months and have writer status. The member’s record in the clan must be considered clean for the previous 3 months. The Clan Representative’s term shall last 2 months if not removed from office by the members beforehand. The Clan Representative shall be treated as one of the Moderators, but will not be given proxy power or the ability to execute Board decisions. The Clan Representative may not be removed from office except as a result of wrongdoing or through lack of public support or loss of an election.

Article IV
Clan Members

Section 1
Clan members have the right to vote in all official polls or elections created by clan leadership; participate in private closed server or other private clan-member only events; participate in closed clan site activities; possess an account in all sites and servers controlled by the clan; create petitions (see Section 2); and contribute content to the sites or servers in accordance with any rules regarding such content. Any clan member who willingly leaves the clan on good terms and with clean record shall be considered a friend of the clan, and as long as he remains in good standing with the clan after his departure, may rejoin automatically whenever he wants.

Section 2
Clan members may create petitions to do the following: request that the leaders take certain actions, in which case signatures equivalent to 20% of the average of the current number of clan members and the number of clan members who signed the last roll call are required, and if the petition receives sufficient signatures, the leaders must vote on whether to take the requested action; request that leaders allow members to vote on whether or not they wish to keep their leaders, in which case signatures equivalent to 25% of the average of the current number of clan members and the number of clan members who signed the last roll call are required, and if the petition receives sufficient signatures, the leaders must start a vote on whether or not to allow the polling; amend the Constitution, in which case signatures equivalent to 33% of the average of the current number of clan members and the number of clan members who signed the last roll call are required, and if the petition receives sufficient signatures, an amendment poll shall be put up, requiring 75% approval to ratify the amendment. Clan leadership may take action regarding the subject of any petition at any time during the process, but it may not stop the petitions from taking place. Any official decision altering the subject of the petition, including making the proposed change or undoing the unwanted action, shall make the pending petition null and void. Petitions that do not have the required signatures after a certain number of days will be void and a petition on that subject cannot be made for another month. The time limits are as follows: leader vote petition: 14 days (2 weeks); retention poll petition: 18 days; constitutional amendment petition: 21 days (3 weeks). Clan leadership may disqualify any clan member from starting a petition if that member does not have a sufficiently clean record or is deemed to be abusing the petition process.

Section 3
Clan members shall be guilty of crimes against the clan if they seek to divide the clan by encouraging its members to leave for another clan within the sites or servers; bully or harass clan members and show reckless disregard for site and server rules; give confidential or private information regarding the clan or its members to unauthorized individuals, especially a member’s personal information; violate the rules of other clans or organizations and denigrate the reputation of this clan; manipulate or misuse site accounts, including by deceiving clan leadership or other members, breaking into other members’ accounts, or using the account as a spy or solely to advertise for another clan or organization. Major offenses of regular rules and being found guilty of doing these or others unnamed here will result in a clan member’s immediate suspension from the clan. The decision to remove a member from the clan may be challenged within the week it occurred, otherwise it will be final. If challenged, a simple majority vote of the Board can decide if the removal was justified, and if it is considered unjustified, it will be reversed.

Article V
Amending the Constitution

Section 1
This Constitution may be modified by a two-thirds vote of all Moderators and all Board members, or through a vote of three-fourths of the whole clan after a petition to amend the Constitution has been successfully completed. No amendment shall remove or prevent the existence of the essential positions of Clan Leader, Co-Leader, the Faction leaders, nor shall it deny the clan members the right to vote on keeping its leaders, nor shall it remove this line from the Constitution.

Section 2
This Constitution shall become effective as soon as it receives the support of the majority of the clan leaders in place at the time it is considered. All prior constitutional rules and constitutions are hereby superseded by this Constitution.
